Privacy Policy
Last updated: 29 October 2026
Meraki Law (“Meraki”, “we”, “us”) is run by Tamanna Chandan Chachlani, an advocate enrolled with the Bar Council of India. This policy explains what personal information we collect through merakilaw.in, why we collect it, and your rights over it. It applies to our website, our enquiry forms, and our Off The Record sessions.
1. Information we collect
We collect only what we need to respond to you and provide our services:
- Enquiry form: your name, email address, contact number, the service you're interested in, and any message you choose to write.
- Session registrations: your name, email address and any details needed to join an Off The Record session.
- Website analytics: anonymous information such as pages visited, approximate location (country or city), device and browser type, collected through Google Analytics.
- Correspondence: anything you send us by email or through Instagram direct messages.
2. How we use your information
- To reply to your enquiry and arrange a consultation or session.
- To provide the services you've asked for, such as study abroad consulting or session access.
- To send you session announcements and updates about Meraki, but only where you've agreed to receive them. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To understand how the website is used, so we can improve it.
- To meet legal and professional obligations.
We do not sell your personal information.
3. Legal basis and consent
We process personal information on the basis of your consent, which you give when you submit a form or register for a session, and where needed to provide a service you've requested. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing us, though this may affect our ability to provide the service.
4. Who we share information with
We share information only with the service providers that help us run Meraki, and only to the extent needed:
- Netlify, which hosts this website and stores enquiry form submissions.
- Google, which provides Google Analytics, and Google Forms and Google Sheets, where enquiry details are stored.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram), which runs the Meta Pixel on this website. The Pixel records page views and enquiry form submissions so we can measure our advertising. It may place cookies on your device, and Meta processes this data under its own privacy policy.
- Professional advisers, such as accountants or lawyers, where necessary.
Some of these providers process data outside India, including in the United States. Where that happens, we rely on their standard contractual protections.
5. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies, including Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel, to measure how the website is used and how our advertising performs. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking analytics cookies won't affect your ability to use the website or submit an enquiry.
6. How long we keep information
We keep enquiry details for as long as needed to respond to you and, for clients, for the period needed to provide services and meet legal and tax requirements. Otherwise, we delete information when it's no longer needed.
7. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including using secure hosting and limiting access to the people who need it. No online system is completely secure, so please share only what you need to.
8. Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and, where they apply to you, the UK GDPR and EU GDPR, you can:
- ask what personal information we hold about you and get a copy;
- ask us to correct inaccurate information;
- ask us to delete your information, where we no longer need it;
- withdraw your consent at any time;
- object to or restrict certain uses of your information; and
- make a complaint to us or to the relevant data protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at the address below. We'll respond within a reasonable time, and within the period required by law.
9. Children
Our services are intended for adults and students in higher education. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us information, please contact us and we'll delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed. Continued use of the website after an update means you accept the revised policy.
